It is okay not to be okay
Does this sound familiar? For some, these comments are reassuring and ring true. For many others, it can be a dismissal of very real and very difficult feelings. Being a parent is hard.
Your journey to get there might be littered with grief, due to infertility, miscarriage, or infant loss. You may experience birth trauma that you cannot heal from alone. For 1 in 5 women (and 1 in 10 men), Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders (aka PMADs) affect your postpartum journey.
But help is out there. Therapy is a great tool to address any of the issues outlined here, plus so much more. Stephanie has partnered with Greater Minnesota Family Services to provide perinatal (meaning "around birth") mental health services.
Taking care of yourself is the best way for you to take care of your family.
