Why have a doula?
A doula is a trained labor supporter who provides a birthing person and her partner with continuous, one-on-one emotional and physical comfort throughout labor and birth. We also help you to prepare for birth by helping you understand your options and giving you tools to prepare your mind and body

A note about my service area:
I am willing to attend births at Ortonville Area Health Services, Stevens Community Medical Center, Milbank Area Health Services, Coteau des Prairies (Sisseton), CCM Health-Montevideo, or Prairie Lakes Healthcare System (Watertown). I am also open to home births within my typical service area (see below) that are attended by a certified midwife.
If you live outside of my typical service area, please inquire! I may ask that some or all of your prenatal appointments take place virtually if you live outside of my usual service area.
I also offer a virtual doula package for families that live in my typical service area that chose to deliver at a hospital outside of that area.
Prenatal meetings can take place in your home (depending on location) or at my office, located in Clinton, MN.
